People often ask her about the origin of her unique last name, “Icecreamwala,” which means “ice cream seller” in Hindi and reflects her Indian heritage. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her son and husband, making the most of San Diego’s sunshine (with sunscreen and a hat, of course).

Inspired by her own experiences with skin conditions, Dr. Devika Icecreamwala has dedicated her career to providing comprehensive and compassionate dermatological care for all ages. She is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist with a particular interest in treating childhood eczema.
Dr. Icecreamwala completed her medical education through the accelerated 6-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine, followed by residency and fellowship training at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan.
