Hannah Sophie Berman, MD, is a top-rated, board-certified dermatologist in San Diego and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. In addition to her medical work, Dr. Berman stays very active outside the office. For example, she is a long-distance runner who has finished several marathons. Moreover, she loves to travel and previously volunteered her dermatology skills in Moshi, Tanzania. While at home, she enjoys gardening, baking bread, and solving puzzles. Finally, she loves going on outdoor digs with her dog to find shark teeth and fossils.

Education + Training
Dr. Berman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and went on to receive her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where she distinguished herself serving as Chief Resident.
Following her residency, she completed an ACGME-accredited Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship at the Scripps Clinic under the direct mentorship of Dr. Hugh Greenway who trained under Dr. Frederic Mohs, the legendary pioneer of Mohs micrographic surgery. In addition to her extensive surgical training, Dr. Berman completed formal cosmetic and laser training under an internationally renowned dermatologist. This allowed her to develop expert-level mastery in cosmetic injectables, advanced laser treatments, and total facial rejuvenation.
